  • I dont think Daemon Tools Emulator is compatiable with SP2

Operating System: Windows XP Home SP2
Burning Software: Nero Burning Rom 6.3.1.20
    Anti-virus Software: None
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

When I try to mount an image this is what comes up:

  • #2
    Operating System: WinXP SP2
Burning Software: Nero 6.3.1.20, Wavelab 5.01
Anti-virus Software: AVK Pro 2004 (only on demand)
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

    I think so, too.

Though I don't get that error message I've so far wasted about 10 CD-R and 5 DVD-R trying to burn with various programs while Daemon-Tools was installed. After uninstall all was fine. The error messages were unspecific, i.e. different every time.
Before SP2 I never had any problems.

I believe it's due to the new atapi.sys in SP2, but I can't really tell.

Anyone without problems in SP2? If so which settings did you apply in DT?

    Cheers,
    gozo

I don't get that error message either, mounting/emulation works fine. Haven't tried burning a mounted image yet though...

It must have been something else after all.
I uninstalled Nero (cleaned registry), uninstalled VIA drivers, then reinstalled all including Daemon tools and now all is fine again.
        sorry for the panic
