  • D-Tools and ShutDown

    Operating System: XP-Pro
    Burning Software: nero, clonecd
    Anti-virus Software: Norton AV
    DAEMON Tools Version: none

This is the second time this has happened to me. I smash my head against my desk for reinstalling daemon tools and giving it another try.

I installed daemon tools and the program would hard lock my system occasionally when i tried to load a game from a virtual cd so i removed the software. Now my pc wont shut down. It stops at "windows is shutting down" and will take either about 10 minutes to shut down or it will never shut down ( i have left it overnight to wait)

It has to be daemon tools, my pc was working fine yesterday until I installed d-tools.

Ive tried system restore, i emailed tech support and they aimed me towards a thread that showed me how to remove trace parts of the program that may have been left after installation but i found nothing on my pc.

Please help me out here before i smash my pc with a sledge hammer!!

if you don't find any parts of DT on your system, it is not DT's fault.

Do you have f.e. AnyDVD installed?
