  • Help needed with DAEMON Tools Lite and CUE files

I just installed DAEMON Tools Lite 4.49.1.0356 on Windows XP Home Edition (SP3) and I can't seem to mount a CUE file I created on my Ubuntu 14.04 Linux (64-bit) system. The CUE and BIN files are in the same location, on the desktop, and when I try to open the CUE file, I get the following message:

    Unable to mount image.

and that's it. The CUE file has "MOTOROLA" identified as the file type and the rest of the CUE file looks correct. I can mount the CUE file using CDEmu on Linux but I can't get the CUE file mounted in DAEMON Tools Lite on Windows XP.

Any ideas on what could be wrong or any suggestions on what to try to get the CUE file mounted? I created a CD, for a friend, and I want to mount the CUE file on Windows so I can use iTunes to create a CD insert.

Thanks in advance for your time!

    Tom

Hallo, and welcome to the forums.
Could you please attach or upload your CUE sheet ?
How exactly was it created ?

P.S.: if you want you can check whether or not the freeware ImgBurn is capable of burning your image straight away
I'm not employed by Disc Soft and my views do not necessarily reflect the ones of the company.

Thanks for the reply and yes, I can attach my CUE file.

I used "Brasero" (https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Brasero) on Ubuntu 14.04 Linx (64-bit) to create the CD Audio "image" from a set of MP3 and Ogg Vorbis audio files I have.

Instead of burning directly to a CD, I created an image, which turned out to be the CUE/BIN set of files. The CUE file it created is below. I'm having problems with the "Manage Attachments" window, so I'll post the CUE file contents here:

      Code:
      FILE "brasero.bin" MOTOROLA
      TITLE "Feelin' Good Vol I"
      TRACK 01 AUDIO
      	TITLE "Feeling Good"
      	PERFORMER "Michael Bublé"
      	INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 02 AUDIO
      	TITLE "Bring Me To Life"
      	PERFORMER "Evanescence"
      	INDEX 01 03:57:00

I don't need to burn the image to a CD but I need to get it mounted so I can use iTunes to create the CD insert.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

      Thanks again!

Well, after much work and research, I don't think I'll be able to pull this off using this approach. I think there's something with the BIN file that's generated that Windows XP simply doesn't like. So, I'll come up with plan 'B'.

        Thanks!

We do not support "MOTOROLA" file type: the only supported formats are "BINARY" (for data), and "WAVE", "APE" or "FLAC" for audio.

That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the info!
