Won't play images

Anti-virus Software: Norton 2002
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

When I Click on Tray Icon it mounts & plays Image & ISO files OK but after they have been mounted & played OK the next time I Click on Tray Icon & then Click a previously mounted Image or ISO file it doesn't play.
The files are still mounted OK as I can use "My Computer" & Click on the Drive & it plays the Image or ISO file OK.???

I think it used to work OK with only XP+SP1a.

with XP SP2 i have the problem that the image can be mounted but
if i want to access the daemon drive i get the windows error message
"Please insert disk to drive."

the same iso-image works with a XP-SP1 without any problems.

i have tested some possibillities.
Win XP SP2 had the problem with D-Tools 3.46 and 3.47.
With 3.44 it works correct.

I have this problem with Windows 2000, too.

It often occours after a reboot with no image in the virtual drive. The only way i have found to get the virtual drive work is to reinstall the cdrom device driver of the virtual drive and restart Windows.

With the Windows Explorer the error message is the same as no disk is in the drive ("Please insert disk to drive."* / "Legen Sie einen Datenträger in Laufwerk V: ein.")

On the command prompt there are two different error messages:
- CDROM without disk: "Drive not ready"* / "Das Gerät ist nicht bereit."
- Daemon Tools with image mounted but don't work: "Wrong parameter"* / "Falscher Parameter."

* Not sure if this is the correct english error message.

I had a similar problem. Daemon gave the virtual drive the same letter as one of my regular drives. It resolved when I changed the letter of the drive to something else that was not assigned. See if changing the drive letter solved the problem.

There are issues at times with the ISO format. Try making another image with Alc120 and loading that one up.
