  • D-Tools 3.47 breaks Nero EasyWriteReader.

    Operating System: WIN 2000 SP4
    Burning Software: no
    Anti-virus Software: AVG 6.0
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

I haven`t got any answer for my problem - conflict between "EasyWriteReader (InCD)" and "D-Tools".
After installation of "D-Tools" "EasyWriteReader" doesn`t work.
Both of these programs are very important for me.
    Thank you for your answers.

No, it can't - Alcohol uses similar driver, so it may have caused the problems on your system, but if you don't have Alcohol installed, that's not possible.
So give us some information about your system (hardware and software used), and what exactly happens with InCD.

Operating System: Windows XP Pro SP2 DirectX9.0c
          Burning Software: Nero, InCD
          Anti-virus Software: TrendMicro HouseCall
          DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

          Hi,
I also use Daemon Tools v3.47 and InCD 4 but I don't have any problems. They both work fine.
I installed Daemon before installing InCD 4.

I have no problem with InCD but with reading CD which was burning in InCD i.e. with EasyWriteReader. Before instalation of D-Tools I can read these CD`s. After instalation of D-Tools (all versions) my computer shows only system files of InCD in the same way as before instalation of EasyWriteReader. After deinstalation of D-Tools is EasyWriteReader OK.

Nero support wrote me (when I had D-Tools v3.46):
"There are Roxio drivers left on your system which seem to cause the
conflict." Maybe this is important information for you. I don`t understand.

I have PentiumIII 733MHz, 256 MB RAM. I have no RW mechanic.
            SW: Win2000 SP4, MS Office2000, WMP 9, CloneCD, C++Bulder v.5 ....

            Thank you for your help.

Well, Roxio drivers are extremely buggy, so your problems are probably caused by them.
Read this thread, so you know what kind of trouble they're causing, and how to remove Roxio filter drivers.

                Thank you for your advice.
I`ve uninstalled Roxio drivers. Now I have LowerFilters "ElbyCDFL" and UpperFilters "incdrm".

My friend has UpperFilters "incdrm Cdralw2k" and his Lowerfilters type is even REG_BINARY.
He has no D-Tools and his EasyWrite Reader runs good.

I uninstalled D-Tools and EasyWrite Reader was OK.
                Than I install D-Tools again.
The installation needs reboot. Before reboot it was OK, after reboot it is bad.
Please, could you help me again?
