Crash while installation reboot

Anti-virus Software: McAfee v. 4.5.1, scan 4.3.20, def 4.0.4404
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47 + 3.46

other Software that may interfere:
Acronis TrueImage Server 8.0 build 768

in devicemanager: VSO devices: Patin Couffin engine


If i reboot after the installation of dt347 or 346 my pc crashes
i have to reboot in savemode without dt34x.sys and have to deinstall the PNP-Bios extension driver for a normal boot

issue is reproduceable, minidump and install-log available

Blindwrite is known to cause some trouble, try to update to 4.5.7 or higher.
Check if you've minidump related to that crash (in Windows\Minidump folder), if so send newest file to support@daemon-tools.cc with reference to this thread.

The BSOD is caused by PCATIP.SYS which is part of Blindwrite, so update as already suggested.

deinstallation of blindwrite wasnt successfull to solve my prob....
as suggested, i had to install a new blindwrite version (5.1.10) before i was able to install/reboot daemon tools

seems like even after deinstallation pcatip.sys was active/loaded

and a support from which most commercial products should learn
