  • endless blue screens while rebooting after installation

Operating System: Win XP Home OEM SP 2
    Burning Software: Nero 6
    Anti-virus Software: AntiVir newest
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

After installation, deamon asks me to reboot, but after reboot I only get a flash of a bluescreen and the computer continues rebooting endlessly until I say boot with last working configuration. (starting without latest(daemon) drivers) Then daemon gives a massage about missing vitual scsi driver.

Like many SP2 users I get this with several different drivers for different hard- and software, so it must be a SP2 problem. Something they changed in the system, that old drivers can't cope with.

unfortunately I buyed xp with sp2 included and can't uninstall it.

I had so many minidumps that I removed them to get some order, but there is no new one created with reinstalling daemon, although it crashes.

Any idea what I can do?

OK just found two minidumps in the folder and send them, hope they help.

I noticed that people report about simmilar problems without SP2
and people with SP2 reporting about other problems but a working install.

So this might not be caused by the SP2 driver intcompatibility
but is rather a problem with the compatibility of daemon and my system

Just tryed out alcohol trial as temporary replacement, but got the exaxyt same errors.

During install you are asked to name the two drivers and the standart names are the same as used by daemon so obviously they are using the same drivers?

So with the different programs causing same problems it must be a driver problem, right?

ps: no new minidumps with alcohol installation either.

DaemonTools default driver names are d347...

whereas alc's driver names are a347...

also, did you send the minidumps to the correct adress? Please also note
to .rar them before you send anything to us!

I'm not sure the last one was realy send, but this time I'm sure I send it (at support@daemon-tools.cc)

and it is rar, although I don't it would have been a problem in windows zip-folder.

as mentioned above they are not time related to the daemon or alcohol crashes, but I hope they are usefull anyway, since I don't really know what they are, or what you use them for

Seems there's a problem with your firewall, the crashes are probably caused by MpFirewall.sys. Try to update to newest version, or try some other firewall.
You may also have some problem with AVGNDTT.SYS.
Ensure you use newest InCD version, and newest AFS2k.SYS version.

I uninstalled the Firewall and InCD and updated AFS2K.SYS
but I got the same problems.

I don't know what is with this AVGNDTT.SYS is it related to the above or something else?

could there also be something left from the uninstalling?

                Again no minidump created?
Check your system if any leftovers of Firewall and InCD drivers, also try to uninstall soft using AFS2k.SYS.

and how can I find out best which drivers are used by these programms and which program uses the AFS2K.SYS?
