  • Daemon Tools ignoring drives created by SUBST

Operating System: Windows XP Pro SP2
    Burning Software: none
    Anti-virus Software: none
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

I have a drive H: (home drive) which gets created by means of:
    c:\> SUBST H: C:\Home\Marc

Unfortunately, when I set Daemon Tools to more than one drive, it will just "grab" that drive letter as if it weren't used, and suddenly, all my data cannot be accessed anymore (since DT grabbed that drive letter, even though it was being used).

This needs to be fixed - heck, SUBST is a valid, and support, command to create drive letters in your system!

Daemon Tools does not grab any drive letters. Drive letter assignment is done by Windows. You probably face the bug in Windows mount point manager, which assigns new drive over existing mapping.
