  • Virtual SCSI Driver Not Detected

    Operating System: WinXP PRO SP2
    Burning Software: Nero 6.6.0.8a
    Anti-virus Software: Norton 2003
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

Okay, i wasn't able to boot into windows. I solved that problem by renaming the d347prt.sys and d347bus.sys driver files.
Now, I double click the daemon tools application and it keeps poping up this error message "Virtual SCSI driver not detected". What should i do now?

I tried looking in this forum for similiar problems but it doesn't anwser my question. can you please help?

The question is why were you unable to boot into Windows - BSOD or hang?
For sure Deamon Tools won't work if you rename/remove its drivers.

      1) SO daemon tools won't work if i rename those drivers?
      2) If that's true then how can i use the program?
      3) Do i have to rename those drivers back to what they were before?
      4) If i do that, would those same drivers reboot my computer over and over agian?
      5) And what is this "Virtual SCSI driver not detected" message?
      6) and finally how can i fix this problem so i can use the program?

        1. How do you expect a program to work without its drivers?
        2. We'll see ...
        3. sure, but ...
        4. it'd probably cause crash again.
        5. Guess what - if you rename the driver, how should it be detected?
        6. Check if you've minidump (in Windows\Minidump folder) related to that crash, if so send newest file to support@daemon-tools.cc with reference to this thread.

The crash is caused by AFS2k.SYS, update it(check this link).

I downloaded the installer you provided in the link.
I'm still getting the same message.
I renamed back the d347prt and bus system files and it still doesn't work.

              Un-install, reboot, and re-install then.
