  • Alc. 120 % 1.9.5.2802: DVD reading speed not adjustable

    Hi!

    I am evaluating alcohol 120% 1.9.5.2722.

Problem: I can't set the reading speed if I try to read a DVD. It's greyed out at maximum speed. :x

    I've tried all my drives:

    Benq 1620 DVD-Writer
    Aopen 1648 AAP
    Lite-on LDW-401

Reading CDs works just fine as expected.

Btw: DPM at DVDs doesn't work either! Only with CD functioning.

P.S.: Please apologize for my bad english

This is the Daemon Tools forum, you should report Alcohol related issues in Alcohol forum.
To adjust the DVD read speed try e.g. Nero DriveSpeed.

Hi there...New starforce interferes with Alcohol 120% DPM function now and it seems to be permanent. (even if uninstalled and reinstalled)

I use VBlindwrite v 5.2.23.156 whuich for now is unaffected by starforce drivers, it makes perfect working copies everytime with a NEC 3500 Rom drive...

        Good luck

          ...

rebellion, Do your copies require emulation?

sloth9, your Alcohol program is 2 versions too old.

This happens in the latest version of alcohol, a google search will show this...and a person posted on the alcohol forum and could'nt get a solution.
And it happens on a starforce free drive with the read speed greyed out at max read, impossible to make a good image.
