Darksoul, i had that same error come up on my pc when i tried to run daemon tools. I had just upgraded my pc from Windows 2000 pro to XP pro. It worked fine on 2000. So i just did a rebuild of my pc. I formatted it and did a clean install of XP pro. Now it works fine. I hope this helps. I know it is a pain to rebuild the pc but.....
