  • Installed Daemon but Hardware Wizard comes up asking for drivers.

    Operating System: WinXP Pro
    Burning Software: Nero and NTI
    Anti-virus Software: PC-Cillin
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

I finished installing Daemon and restarted my laptop. When XP loaded i saw the Daemon icon on the lower right with the other running icons but then the Hardware Wizard came up detecting new hardware. What drivers do i need to install for Daemon to work?

drivers DAEMON Tools uses - listed from within Device Manager view

DAEMON Tools requires no extra drivers. Just the standard drivers that come with Windows.

    Read what copytrooper says here:
    http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/viewtopic.php?p=21356

I also have imapi.sys on my computer, in addition to the ones listed bycopytrooper. All the drivers should be Microsoft provided drivers and are included with the operating system. Any additional drivers are NOT required.

maybe try running "SFC /SCANNOW" without the quotes from the command line. That's the system file checker included with Windows XP and later.

Usually just pressing next/finish does the trick.

If that doesn't work, try pointing it to Windows\inf\cdrom.inf.
