25009 (ACL Failure or PNP System returning failure code)

    1) More than just unchecking DENY you want to remember to ALLOW full control (every allow checkbox on the left hand column should be checked) for SYSTEM, Administrators, Power Users, Users, and your own windows logon username, etc (if you don't see all of the above mentioned users listed that's usually OK).

    2) You said you "unchecked DENY" on a registry key that was called "003" but Windows Operating System PNP needs access to ALL of the keys below HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi. If you read this thread you will see that 'Guy' created deleted one of the 000x keys and recreated the key and then set permissions manually on it and finally had success. (You'll find that it's somewhat safe to make changes to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\R oot\SYSTEM\000x because the changes are dropped and the whole key and subkeys are re-created back every windows boot)

    3) VeNoM386 said "Before running setup make sure you have no devices in Device Manager with questions or exclamation signs."

    4) You also may have to set allow permissions for all DAEMON Tools service names such as d347bus or d346bus(for older DAEMON Tools v3.46) and d347prt or d346prt under
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\d347bus

    AND

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\d347prt

25009 (ACL Failure or PNP System returning failure code)

When setting registry permissions did you enable/force propagation (replace permission on all child entries) and take ownership of all subkeys? If you have the owner set to your logon name try setting ownership (the 'Owner' tab is the third tab under you right click a registry key -->Permissions...->Advanced) to the windows user group 'Administrators'.

Once you have done the steps in the above paragraph try setting the permissions as per the instruction people give in the forum again. They may not have been inheriting properly to have any effect on subkeys.

Done all that. Still it doesn't work. I give up. It shouldn't be this hard to install a program. I didn't know this was a beta...

It is NOT beta, but if you screw up your registry permissions - either by yourself or by using a program which did it (e.g. AntiBlaxx) - there're few things we can do about it, 'cause you should know what you've done - we wouldn't. On "healthy" systems Daemon Tools installs perfectly.
