Copying Music Prog requiring Start-up CD

Burning Software: NERO,SONIC
Anti-virus Software: AVG
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

Sorry for my ignorance.I'm a newbie.
I own a music prog that requires inserting CD everytime i start prog.
I don't want to do that.

1-Can i copy CD to desktop or anywhere on PC?
2-Is that what "Mount image" does ?
3-When i try that ,it shows all files on CD.Which ones do i copy ?

# 2 Question:

1-If i wanted to make a back up CD copy of the Prog CD,do i have to start Music prog. first ?
2-Can i use Nero to make copy ?

You first step should be to take a check with A-Ray... depending on Copy Protection info, but i'm way safe with stating that Nero wont' ever do any good to anything serious... check out BlindWrite or Alcohol
