  • Number of Drives Bug

    Operating System: Windows XP, SP2
    Burning Software: -
    Anti-virus Software: -
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

    Found Behaviour:

    1. Set the number of mounted drives to 4.
    2. Mount an image on some drive.
    3. Select the number of mounted drives to 1.

    Causes a reboot.

    ---

    Expected Behaviour:

Unmounts, disables all drives and just enables one.

    ---

    Please look into this.

Concerning the reboot, please check this thread.

Couldn't reproduce it - number of devices 4, mounted some image to e.g. drive 3, set number of devices to 1 -> please wait -> only one drive -> set number of devices to 4 again -> 4 drives, no image mounted - everything ok.

          Hi...

          I unset the automatic restart ... today, i tried swapping the number of drives... it worked like a charm ... no BSOD, no hang up, nothing;

Wierd.. I wonder what the problem was yesterday.

If I get to see this odd behaviour again, I shall report it more properly.

          I stand corrected.

Well, do you have a minidump (in Windows\Minidump folder) related to that crash? Could be interesting anyway - send it to support@daemon-tools.cc for analysis.

Hm, maybe the Starforce drivers caused this problem, too ...
