  • EASY TO GET ROUND STARFORCE

Well its not that easy but all i do is diasble ide channel 2 in device manager and disable node, cd, and ch2 in nightmare and make sure u only have 1 virtual drive running NO other drives at all except ur hard drives (of course).
Then mount the FULL image works best with me and as for splinter cell 3 at first i got the disc verifyed but not the cd-key for some reason UNTIL i updated the game as simple as that, just click on check for updates in the SCCT programs menu folder (update 1.5 i think)

With this way ive got SCCT, TM Sunrise, Second Sight, GTR FIA and Brothers in arms: EIB to work without the original disc. Oh a cool little tool is ISO directory it finds "some" starforce CD-Keys in the MDS image it worked with TM Sunrise.

    SFCure

I've done it with SFCure on GT Legends 8) (SF3.6) and SCCT (SF3.4) like this:
    1.Install SFCure driver (!setup.bat)
2.Mount it with Alc or DT with rmps emu
    3.Install Game
4.After installation launch sfdrup.exe to update StarForce3 drivers and reboot the box
    5.Start SFCure driver (!start.bat)
6.Use SF Nightmare, Select in this order "Disable node" , "Disable CD" , "Disable node" , and the IDE channel you use for real CD/DVD units (Pr. Slave , Sc. Master o Sc. Slave ) , depending on how your IDE units are connected, on GT Legends i put the optical drive out of my notebook, and i've clicked on disable node, too (important) !
    7. Launch the Game and enjoy!
If it doesn't work you can use virtual cd hide or if you've mounted the image with DT, try Alcohol!

I tried it like this too but it didnґt work.
I also disconnected my Drives manually but it was the same...
Then i tried Virtual CD Hide and Win2k3 Nodedisabler but no result..
I heard that you must have Service Pack 2 for WinXP to make it work properly...
          is that true??

            It's better to have sp2, i read, on sp2 it's sure that it's working.
            I havn't tested it on sp1, yet.

SP2 is definitely necessary. SFCure will never work without it.

                  Info:
If you have installed DTOOLS, remove and uninstall them first.
Use and install Alcohol 120% v1.9.5.3105

All your internal ATAPI CD/DVD ROM/RW drives MUST be connected
just and only to SECONDARY IDE CHANNEL!

SFCure NEEDS Windows XP SP2 installed!
If you don't have it, download SP2 and run its installation first!
Don't attempt to continue with installing this game if you don't run Windows XP SP2!

                  Pre-step:
If you already have SCCT installed, uninstall it.
Use sfdrvrem.exe from sfdrvrem.zip to remove StarForce 3.

                  Step 1:

                    ...

The most common version of SFCure only works on WinXP SP2.

I can't understand how sfcure can work with sf 3.6, since from the version 3.6 sf has blacklisted/neutralized sfcure...

Hmm so where can I download Iso Directory from? Googling it doesn't really return a satisfactory link . "ISO 17799 - The Information Portal for ISO17799" etc.
