With the old design you had a RSS feed showing the news announcements. I can't find the XML file anymore since you have the new design.
The new design looks and works cool, but I would like to see the RSS feed again.

Yes, the RSS feed was nice. It would be good if it could come back ^^

I just looked at the Vbulletin website, and it shows that your Vbulletin version supports RSS, but needs to be switched on: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/faq.php?s=&do=search&q=rss&match=all&titlesonly=0

For example http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=1 gives the RSS feed of the Vbulletin forum with ID 1.

On the Daemon Tools website, the external.php file exists, because when I request: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=1 it returns an empty document. So it looks like it only needs to be switched on.

If you also place the http://www2.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=ViewCategory&catid=5 page in RSS, that would be great!

Vbulletin generates an RSS feed based on the creation date. If you want to generate it based on the last post date, which is better in my opion, take a look here:

I don't want to bug you because you're doing a great job with Daemon Tools, but an RSS feed would be nice so we can keep track of DT news more easily :)

it will be back soon, we're working on it
Can you give an update whether or not you still are going to implement RSS?

Sorry to dig out such an old thread, but I'd like to ask if there's been any progress concerning the RSS feed?

As I understand it, vBulletin already supports this, so it only need to be switched on...

Since the board has now been updated, I wanted to ask how the status on the RSS front is? :)

LocutusofBorg

one will ask about it ;)

RSS feed is enabled, you may noticed it already.

You can also use it via our external data provider,
e.g.

http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/external.php

you can also extend it f.e. ?forumids=13

the whole url would look then like this:

http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/external.php?forumids=13

This will use the feed from "Forum 13" which is our Announce-
ment-forum.
You can of course use any other (public available) forum.
You can also simple add other forums seperated by comma,
e.g. "?forumids=13,2"

There's much more about it, if you have any questions, just
ask.

RSS Feeds are really a great way of staying up-to-date 24/7! :D

Is there some way to get a feed from the customer forums, e.g. by providing a username/password?

No - currently not. We think about such possibility, but we're
unsure IF we want that feature at all. From technical point of
view its only a matter of some minutes, but I do not want that
we see then soon feeds on other sites from c-forum

I see. I hadn't thought of that, but you're right that would be a problem.
