  • How to stop icon appearing in systray. not from d-tools menu

    We are running d-tools on a college network.
    The system is running Novell 6 and Zenworks Imaging 3.2, with win98se clients.

    We are distributing d-tools using the .msi file, this solution works very well except by default it loads the icon into the systray.

    We don't want the icon, so that the users can't mess around with it.

    But we have 700 machines and so can't visit all of them to change the settings.

    I've looked in the registry and can't find any keys which mention the icon.

    Does anyone have any ideas as to how to stop the icon loading?

    Thanks

    Just add switch -noicon to start entry in registry.
    HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run -> DaemonTools-1033 change its ґvalueґ to
    ["C:\Program Files\D-Tools\daemon.exe" -lang 1033 -noicon]
