  • New sticky needed

I'll think that a sticky like "Look in the Common Problems and Solutions forum before you post here" is needed.
Or a sticky that says: "SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST!"

Lately to many posts about the same problem has shown up,
people doesn't even look for similar threads/problems in this forum (Daemon Tools SUPPORT).

People just ignore that i says "READ BEFORE POSTING IN THE SUPPORT FORUM!!!" under the Common Problems and Solutions forum. They just go straight to the Support forum and create a new thread without even looking around or searching before posting.

(I didn't really know where to post this, but I posted it here because the thread is about this forum category.)

Unfortunately this won't help. Some ppl just ignore everything - sticky threads, forum descriptions, board rules ... whatever.
Everybody be cool! You, be cool!

no probably right about it. One of the forums I moderate has a 'start page' where you have to click "Yes, I have read and understand these rules" - and the main rule s to search.

Sadly, I have to point out left and right that a person's RFC / RFE has already been requested in the past, or that their problem has been mentioned by many people before them and that possible solutions and workarounds are in a particular thread...

n00bs just basically want their hand held - they don't want to know *how* something works, and they don't want to spend any time troubleshooting - they want it working perfectly OOB and then scream bloody murder when it does not - no reading skills to speak of and no time to RTFM.

I fluctuate - sometimes I am downright rude to them (especially when they get rude with me) and sometimes I just sigh and lock the thread with an appropriate link.

I could look at the image.
Maybe only customers can view the image, though I don't see the point of doing that.
