hiya,

well i am a customer but can anyone tell me how much i-net traffic (approx.) the searchbar uses ? (e.g. kb or mb / hour)

cos some people i know don't have a flatrate (or a flatrate with unlimited traffic / month) and so it's useful to know how much it will take ...

thx,
geronimo

This may sound silly but unless WhenU provides stats, here's how I would go about determining this:

Someone could get their firewall logs and then export it to an excel spreadsheet and then filter by IP address and domain name and then add up the data sent and extrapolate for a long range up heavy and mild surfing during 30 days

we got a reply from WhenU:

"Average bandwidth usage is around 70Kb per day"

I hope it is not too much for an average user.

thx for response - 70 kb is really low ...
i think that is of course acceptable (here some isp's have limits around 1 gig/month and about 2 mb from 1 gig is nearly nothing) ...
