  • Unable to remove virtual drive or uninstall/reinstall Daemon tools after PC crash.

My PC hung when I removed one image and monuted another image with Daemon tools 4. I rebooted PC and get the error message during start-up
"DAEMON Tools Setup has encountered a problem and needs to close"
Checking windows explorer shows a virtual drive that was mounted just before the crash.
I removed daemon from msconfig and also disabled 2 virtual drives in device manager. Trying to reinstall or uninstall daemon tools 4 even in safe mode comes back with the error
"DAEMON Tools Setup has encountered a problem and needs to close" (I used to have a previous version of Daemon, if that helps for diagnosis)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you get the windows error reporting screen? Is Dr. Watson invoked behind the scenes? It would be helpful to have a list of all services and drivers running in the background.
