  • Virtual drives crashing and rebooting my machine

    Hi all.
I recently went to use daemon tools to mount an image to find that as soon as i select the .mds file it reboots my machine. IT has only recently been doing this and I have had no problems before.. At first i thought it was just daemon tools, but alcohol does exactly the same. I followed the administrators instructions and have managed to get the blue screen to show up althouvght i do not know how to attach my minidump to this folder. The stop error starts with 0x0000008e. Any help would be awesome, cheers

    I have lots of questions

What OS are you using? What Service Pack? What kind of processor do you have? Are you using RAID? What if you disable AIN (Auto Insert Notification) using the tray icon, ....., set device parameters screen?

You can go ahead and attach your minidump to an email (.rar or uncompressed but not .zip) and send to support@daemon-tools.cc with a reference to this thread.

      OS: WIndows XP Pro
      Cd Virtual Program:Virtual Daemon 3.47
      Antivirus:Symantec Antivirus 10.0
      CD Rom Drive: none

I have the same issue, every time I try to mount or uninstall daemon tools I get a 0x0000008E error.

I am emaling the mini dump file, to support@daemon-tools.cc

If someone could help me, I would really appreciate it.
