It doesn't really matter where you pull the IDE cables as long as the connection between drives and motherboard is interrupted.

How did you create the image?

Which settings did you use? What hardware? Does it work from the original?

            Hi,
            I have the same problem..
            I have 3 mds files (for cd1,cd2,cd3)
I mount this image with DT 4.03HE and i make (all ok) the setup.
When i start the game, the controll bar goes all to right but ..it asks.."Please mount CD1
            Thanks.....

King Kong is protected by Starforce 3.6.
To play SF 3.6, with an image mounted in a virtual drive, you've to unplug your ide drives physically(all except your harddisks). Use DT 4.0.3 to mount the image, shutdown your computer, then unplug your drives, start and play.

                a) i have unplug the phisically device (see

                b) mount CD1 with DT4.03 (emulatin all)
                c) rebout the pc
                d) start the game.....
                e) the barcontroll (check protection?) run to right
                f) please mount d1
                The steps are correct ??

You don't unplugged them physically, you've to open up your pc case and plug out the plugs of your ide- drives (dvd-rom, writer). Don't disable them in device manager.
