Problems with Halo update

I mounted a halo image file onto Daemon tools, and it works fine...untill you update the game.

The update is required to play online, and whenever I install the update, it says that it san't reconize the CD, I really need help please.

Well you can't play online w/out the original and a key, so if you have a copy, just forget about it.

If you are just updating for the hell of it, why? Is there a problem w/ the game u need fixing?
Most likely, the MS server where you update, can better tell a clone than the games native copy protection.

How did you create your Halo 2 image file (program and settings used)?

Halo pc multiplayer

if you unplug your internet before you go to multiplayer it wont update and will just take you to the severs screen then plug your internet back in and hit refresh and it should work i did this with halo 1.032 and it worked fine

Just put your original disk in, and update. After the update, mount your image and it should work. That's how I do it.
