  • Virtual AND normal dvd drives stop functioning on new version

I installed the new version of Daemon Tools and now both of my DVD drives have the yellow icon next to them and the virtual drive did too (before I tried uninstalling D-Tools)

Here's a listing of the drivers on my two actual DVD drives (I uninstalled dtools for the time being, and I used the uninstallation process detailed in common problems, deleting all registry stuff and everything)

    Lite-On DVD SOHD-167T

    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\cdrom.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\GEARsplWDM.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\imapi.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\PxHelp20.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\redbook.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\storprop.dll

    Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-109

    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\cdrom.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\GEARsplWDM.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\imapi.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\PxHelp20.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\redbook.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\storprop.dll

Never mind, I managed to find it. If anyone else is having this problem (this may repair the USB problem everyone's been having too) go to http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;320553

Try to uninstall the drives, Windows should reinstall them at the next startup.
