i just wanna know what u think about my config...
    • Athlon 64 3700+
    • 1024 MB DDR RAM
    • nVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT 256MB
    • ASUS A8N SLi (for 2nd gfx card bought later)
    • 550 Watt Power Supply
    • Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler
    • 16x DVD+-RW Double Layer

i dont need any HDD because i already have them
so what do u think about it?
    what are your suggestions?
how much should it cost approximately?

I would take the a8n-sli premium, it's cooled passively, the a8n standard cooler is pretty loud and must be changed after one year, i already made this expirience.

Owning a 7800 GTX from MSI and it pwnz like the CPU (have the same).

So, its a good config for the next 2 years. My PC config is mostly the same and i can guarantee you that you can play everything on HIGH GFX

so maybe i'll take the premium. but it costs 60€ more than the normal A8N SLi.
and the GTX costs even 80€ more...
do u think its worth it?!
i think i'll only take one of the two mentioned options
what is your guess about the overall price?
        any other suggestions?

I would wait until the cebit is over, there will be launched the 7900's and the price will fall down.
The cheapest 7800gt in germany costs 280, the cheapest 7800gtx 420. 140 more for a gtx is a big big overkill.

                It'll be launched in march.
Specs of the 7900, which'll be launched at the cebit:
The flagship single-card product GeForce 7900 GTX is claimed to be a 32 pixel processor part with a core GPU frequency of 700/750 MHz, and should ship with 1.1ns graphics RAM clocked at 800/900MHz.

To be honest, I would recommend getting the A8N32-SLI instead. 16 PCIe lanes per video card instead of 16 lanes split between the two video cards. Won't make a difference currently, but it will when you decide to add another video card for SLI down the road.

well first of all the pc got some nice configs
                      but
1-if you are goin to wait then you will wait forever cuz everyday they got BOOOMY new stuff
2-the psu 550w you mentioned above that you might get a new vga card in the future so 550w might not be enough
3-MSI in vga is like being a chineese made car
4- there is the GF 7950 x2 now from xfx a dual core vga which already needs a500 w psu to work fine lol but its a hell of a card
5-as mentioned from another users try to get the premuim edition of this mobo its reallly better
6- if you are goin for a 16x try lookin for the plextor workin with a sata cable its a very good idea
i am just sayin my personal opinion but i hope you like it i dont mean to annoy you or anything

In this case, I would have to agree with muzy given that:

                          1) Socket-AM2 was just released, and is the way to go for future upgradability.

                          2) AMD CPU prices will take a massive cut (as much as 50%) in a little over a month from now, including the dual-cores (word is that the X2 3800+ may drop to as low as $145 US).
