  • Read from Restored File from DLT

I have restored files from a DLT tape and i got 3 files:
    DDPID
    control.dat
    main.dat

and i was informed dat i can view the image from the main.dat using DT. I mounted this file and i got the following message when i click on the virtual drive.

"Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows."

By right i should be able to see the contents, ie:
    a video_ts and audio_ts folder
if i mounted it correctly (at least dats wat i was assured of, and i was told i might have to enter some command line but i was not told wat is dat or how)...

so i am here for help.
    thanks in advance

    ...

What was your data like before the backup? DAEMON Tools cannot mount files like DDPID, control.dat, nor main.dat

Try VideoLAN Player to play the *dat files. When there are videofiles then VideoLAN will/can play it.
