  • Win XP x64 - HELP please!!! Windows loading screen hangs.

    Hi,

I'm having this common boot issue. My problem is that I cannot find any of the mentioned .sys to delete, such as SPTD.sys. Maybe it's only for the x86 version.

What happened to me was, I downloaded and instaled the x64 version and then it asked to reboot to complete the installation. It rebooted and hanged in the loading screen. I can only access windows in safe mode now, even tryed System Restore but still hangs. What should I do to roll back this mess?

    Thnk's any help!

You've to configure Explorer to show all system and hidden folders and files.
If you can boot into safe mode (by pressing ESC when prompted to abort loading of sptd.sys), you can also try sptdinst.exe (see our download section) for your OS, run "sptdinst remove" and reboot.
