    @onomastikon
Just upload it to some one click hoster like e.g. sendspace.com

Have you in the meantime tried to run the game as Administrator or in the mentioned compatibility mode ?

Rightclick the SW KOTOR shortcut on your desktop -> Run as Administrator

If that doesn't work rightclick the SW KOTOR shortcut on your desktop -> Properties -> Compatibility
There tick 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and select Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5) in the dropdown menu.

EDIT: Would you please upload your 27 kb mds file ? ...Deja vu

    Thank you very much.
This is Vista Home Premium OEM.
The error message was: Conflict with Disc Emulator Software detected. See www.securom&emulation for more details.
That site indicates that I must shut down all emulation software. I deactivated daemon tools lite (turned all options off, exited the program) but I still cant get it to work.
I hope I havent broken something. Thank zou so verz much for zour help.

I havent received any replies for whatever reasons (have I offended?), but I will risk posting some odd news:

On my machine, I cannot actually play KotOR with the original disk in! Apparently, the only time I was able to play it was directly after installing it; now, when I try to launch the game, I get a "securerom" error.

After consulting the website of the evil securerom people, I have the original game CD in, turned demounted all images, turned off all emulations options and exited daemon tools lite -- and the game still wont launch with the original CD in.

HELP!! What's going on? Have I destroyed something? Anyone?
THANK YOU very much in advance.

It seems I have done everything correctly, and I still cannot get KOTOR to work. I am on a Vista machine now, I have a good image (I think, since I followed instructions) of 27kb, and this seems to be working with my other games. I still cannot get KOTOR to play, however, it says there is a conflict with Securrom. Can I send anyone my image so that they can have a look at it and tell me what is wrong? Thank you!!!

If your mds file size will als be around 1 kB, your burner has not been supported yet.

If you've got ICQ or MSN, you can also contact me via these.

    Just write me a PM.

Yes, but the mds size has to be around 26 KB - provided image was created correctly.

This may only be needed if a "correct" image still doesn't work.

Hello, just did a new image with alcohol 52%, and no luck. Still the same message (insert original, not backup).

This time, instead of specifying .iso, I chose .mds, and can see that the .mdf is of a different size than the .iso I made before. Also curious, because both an .mds and .mdf come out. The .mds is only 1kb, and that is the one that DT wants to have mounted (I cannot even select the .mdf) -- is this correct?

    Anyway, it didnt work.

I also have compatibility mode for WinNT selected, as Terramax suggested, but no luck.

The CD is obviously a bit older (I got it from a friend), if there are some usage tracks on it (minor scratches, etc.), is that bad? I cleaned it before making the last image to be sure, but that apparently didnt help.

    THank you.
