So, I downloaded .mdf/.mds files for CD1 of nightlife and an .iso for CD2.... i dont think this would make a difference, and i burned them using nero. I took them to my girlfriend's laptop to install. She already has legal versions of Sims2 and University, and i installed and everything.. (found a key online). Then everything seems to be in order, so i go to launch Nightlife. It shows a little startup image, with the logo and all, but then it says "Please ensure The Sims 2 Nightlife disc is in the drive, select OK and restart the application." I hit ok, and it closes.
My question is... Is it possible to run it with the CD in the drive, because i did install it and everything worked for installation. I dont want to download DT to her laptop. I just wanted to have it be like as if i had bought her the cd from the store... I got the disc, the key, installed it, but it wont work.
