Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory was the most anticipated game of
the year 2004 (HL2 and DOOM3 were also anticipated...
but
it was a big dissapointment all around the scene due to lack
of ability to crack this game properly. We still don't have
a crack BUT we found a way from this awfull trap. Big thanks
to russian coders who made an awesome job when created such
tools as SFNightmare and recently the most discussed SFCure.
This is a custom repack made by us, ViLLAGERZ. Also we gotta
thank SNAKE who createad probably the only working clone that
works with SFCure, but we still had to change the .mds file.
There are rumors all around forums that SFCure is not working,
especially on nForce (2,3,4) and KT600 and KT800 chipsets.
Well, this is NOT so hot as it looks! Basically, all chipsets
may cause problems, IF YOU WILL NOT FOLLOW INSTALL STEPS!!
I personally tested FiC-AU31 (nForce2 chipset) and everything
went flawlessly. Also VIA KT600-based boards have been tested
successfuly. So, it's my opinion that all problems some people
have are caused just by themselves OR their hardware/software.

i N S T A L L A T i O N
(Step-by-step tutorial by dANGEL0)
Step 1:
Don't use DaemonTools 3.47! It's the essential advice! If you
have installed DTOOLS, remove and uninstall them first. Use
and install Alcohol_120_v1.9.5.3105_Retail_Incl_Offline_KeyGen .
This release is included. This is a full and retail keygenned
version. After finishing installation this alcohol, DON'T ALLOW
Alcohol to access internet (otherwise you might be blacklisted).
If you get blacklisted accidentaly, repeat keygenning but use
a different name for registration.
Create just only ONE virtual drive (default) in Alcohol!!
So, in other words, let it be untouched.

Step 1.1:
All your internal ATAPI CD/DVD ROM/RW drives MUST be connected
just and only to SECONDARY IDE CHANNEL! We can not say what you
can expect if one of your CD/DVD drives is attached to Primary
IDE channel, but PROLLY all your attempts to play this game will
inevitably fail. Disabling CH2 is more accurate when hiding
drives. If you don't want to swap drives manually, you will have
to disable your CD/DVD drive on primary channel using SFNightmare
and pressing 'Disable Primary-Slave'. Disabling CH2 is much much
better, because the entire secondary IDE nod is disabled. SF3
protection is really powerfull and MAY see your CD/DVD drive even
if you have pressed 'Disable Primary Slave'.
So, it is my hereby advice: Have your all internal CD/DVD drives
connected only to IDE Secondary Channel on your motherboard!
Also, when using this method, don't attach external USB drives.
Step 1.2:
!!! SFCure NEEDS Windows XP SP2 installed !!!
If you don't have it, download SP2 and run its installation first!
Don't attempt to continue with installing this game if you don't
run Windows XP SP2!
Step 2:
1 - Unzip archive
2 - Run SFCure (SFCURE_32BIT\SFAFSB.EXE).
ATTENTION (only for AMD64/x64 users, others skip to Step 3):
- If you have AMD64 or Intel x64, use batch files
in SFCURE_64BIT folder instead of SFAFSB.EXE!
- Using 32BIT SFCURE is allowed for 32BIT-only CPUs!!
- Don't use SFAFSB.EXE!
- All operations regarding SFAFSB.EXE below, replace with
calling batch files placed in \SFCURE_64BIT\.
It means, all following steps regarding SFAFSB are:
(\SFCURE_64BIT\<required step>.bat).
3 - Press button 'Install SFAFSB'
4 - Press button 'Start SFAFSB'
5 - Run SFNightmare.exe
6 - Press Disable Node and then press Disable CD.
(It may take up to 20 seconds to disable CD, wait until done!)
7 - Reboot (even if you are not prompted...)
8 - Repeat steps from 4 to 6 (run SFAFSB.EXE first).
9 - Mount SC:CT image to Alcohol emulator and install the game.
10 - Reboot once again.
11 - Repeat steps from 4 to 6 once again (run SFAFSB.EXE first).
12 - Update SC:CT from v1.00 to v1.04 game using update file (86MB).
13 - Click on SC:CT desktop icon. You will be asked to reboot. Do it!
14 - Repeat steps from 4 to 6 (run SFAFSB.EXE first).
15 - Still in SFNightmare, press 'Disable CH2'.
16 - Click on SC:CT desktop icon.
17 - Enter this serial: (censored)
18 - Wait for 3 - 6 seconds for SF3 to check the disc.
19 - Play!
20 - Fuck SF3! ;]
When you finsh playing and want to revert all drives back,
follow these steps:
- Unmount image from Alcohol!
Stopping SFAFSB below with still mounted image may crash your PC
into BSOD. Never leave the image mounted if you revert drives back!)
- Run SFNightmare.exe
- Press 'Enable CH2'
- Press 'Enable CD'
- Press 'Enable Node'
- Run SFAFSB.EXE
- Press 'Stop SFAFSB'

1. IDE PCI Controller Drivers MUST be OS STANDARD IDE PCI Drivers.

3. If u have AMD64, then use sfcure_x64 that works same way as the other.
4. Mount Alcohol 120% img and install the game.
5. Once installation is complete, launch sfdrup.

0c. Make sure you don't have any StarForce drivers on your system at this point.
1. Run SFAFSB.EXE -> 'Install SFcure driver', 'Start SFAFSB'
2. Install SC:CT through Alcohol 1.9.5 build 3105 (Everyone is whining that it won't work in DT)
3. Update SC:CT using "Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Patch v1.00 - v1.04" (82-83MB) MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE RIGHT VERSION. A US PATCH WON'T WORK ON A EUROPEAN INSTALLATION. It sucks to have to wait an extra hour because you forgot Snake's image is European.
4. Reboot when prompted by the game.
5. SFNightmare -> Disable Node, Disable CD ; SFAFSB -> Start SFAFSB
6. Game -> key -> play
7. If you got this far and aren't playing the game, it didn't work. You probably failed step 0.
notes: I'm not remotely sure whether SFAFSB should be running while the game is installing. It won't hurt, of course, but is it necessary? Maybe. Maybe it prevents the SF drivers from entrenching themselves into your precious hardware profile. Or maybe it's just a placebo effect. Try skipping step 1 (thus adding it to 5) and tell me.
more notes: Yes, even with no optical devices connected, you need to disable node and CD. because you still have virtual optical devices. I've tested it both ways and it is necessary. Even with no CDROM plugged into this computer, no such drivers loaded, and even when I tried to think happy thoughts, the game refused to cooperate until I disabled node and CD. If it's telling you to insert the disk when the image is already mounted, this may very well be the problem. It was for me.
