I've been struggling to get this game up and running on my PC trying everything listed on the Ubisoft website (this is to run a LEGAL copy straight from the LEGAL ORIGINAL disc!) I eventually gave up hope last year round Xmas writing it off as a really bad investment.
Recently I decided to try again and still the original disc gave me the same problems even after a recent installation, but thanks to DT4 (and by that I mean the developers, You guys are legends!) I have now managed to play... this is how:
1. Get a Alcohol clone copy of SC:CT using eMule or via a torrent.
2. Mount the image in DT4 and install
3. Start the game and shutdown after SF has installed)
4. Remove ALL optical IDE drive (CD-ROM/R/RW, DVD-ROM/R/RW etc)
5. Restart machine and run the game
6. Enter G7XRL-PYQ7C-9R29U-QH5X9-ZSAKU as the code (before any moderators $h!t themselves the code is freely available from star-force.com via email!)
7. Play to your hearts content.
