help with kotor1 pls

hi all

i have kotor1 and i used alochal to install it it is still on version 1.0 i have not done an update of the game

i downloaded a cd crack and installed into the kotor1 folder but i didnt get a message to overwrite the orgnal file and the game still asks for the cd

im not the britest of people when it comes to computers and theis is first time i try use a cd crack

any help would be great
