While Daemon Tools does not support Floppy Disk Drive emulation, FileDisk does.
It even support mounting of some CD-images too
It can be found at : http://www.insidewindows.info
I understand that many people want that feature, but we have enough to do with DT Development.
Beside that, this thread was here to inform you about our decision - not to discuss it. If we ever reconsider it, we will surely everybody let know about it
I understand that floppy drive emulation won't help you for booting, but many products like Norton Antivirus, Symantec Ghost, Partition Magic and so on still use floppies.
Most people use WinImage to take images of their floppies, but those software vendors don't use the same image format and you can therefore not transfer the images to bootable CD's. A floppy drive emulator would be CRUCIAL in this case.
Daemon Tools will NEVER EVER
-----------------------------------------------
(1) support Floppy Disk Drive emulation.
(2) support CD-Burner-Emulation
-----------------------------------------------
We don't implement it so please don't ask for FDD-support or CD-Burner-Emulation anymore
Thank you
