As far as I can see there is no possibility to create MDX file from a drive partition (Grab→SD Card in v5.8.0.1409). I think that is pretty easy to add, right? The benefit in comparison to IMG is that MDX file can (and should be) compressed. Maybe you can consider adding this functionality?

- Basic function: create MDX image from any USB or hard drive and be able to mount it later.
- Extended: when creating MDX image skip sectors which are not allocated to any file and allow the user to choose the compression ratio (No compression to Best compression).
