Operating System: Windows XP Pro & Windows 98 SE both completely current with MS updates

I recently upgraded my PC to XP via a full install.
Under Win98 "Homewolrd 2" ran just fine. Same image under WINXP doesn't work as it complains that I have the wrong CD, which I'm taking to mean something is wrong with the emulation. On the XP system I can install and run form the original CD just fine. This is not a fix as it guarentees my kids will ruin the CD :-)
I've uninstalled and re-installed 3.41 just to be sure the isntall was good.
Any suggestions appreciated.
