  • burning iso files to a cd

hey all, i hope im posting this in the right section ??

i want to install windows vista to my blank ide drive. i need to burn the iso files to a standard cd with my cdburner so i can boot up the computer and install from there instead of within windows. i have xp running on a sata drive and i want to install vista to the blank ide drive without partitioning it.

The "Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools" (which work on WinXP) has cdburn and dvdburn utilities that write .iso images to media. They are freely downloadable:

Just to clarify, you're talking about taking what's already an ISO and turning it into a working CD (not just putting the ISO onto a CD is what I'm trying to get at).

I swear MagicISO has an option where you can make a CD copy of the ISO you have but it's been a little while since I goofed with that particular program so I'm not entirely sure. Plus I don't have a full version at the moment...
