and i mean really analog audio support

If i playback a audio cd with Daemon Tools i cant set te volume
(only in the "set device parameters dialog" box)
And i cant set any equalizer to wurk

I dont want to install more virtual software (its very confusing)

Audio support is 'really' analog already.
What equalizer you need? Do you have equalizer on usual CDROM analog output?

Quite possible that he does. I had an old HP Pavilion that came with all kinds of software extras, nd one was a multimedia soundsystem for audio playback - it included a Midi player, aa CD player, ad Waver player / recorder and a mixer / EQ.

        Yes i do

Im using http://www.winamp.com/ to playback audio CDROM's
If im using a real CDROM player to playback audio CDROM's
i can full customize the audio output

The analog output from the real CDROM player is connected to
        my soundblaster (that's it i think . . .)

I have one option, i can connect the mainboard's audio output to the soundblaster aux input

No, this is not analog output. In fact Winamp just reads sectors from CDROM in digital mode and controls all frequncy range. The same it can do with virtual CDROM. On the other hand analog output connected to your Soundblaster cannot be controlled in any way - it is only mixed to LineOut with other sources (WAV, MIDI etc). Analog DAC is inside CDROM itself and no software can control it.

            @Tupos:
Which SoundBlaster do you use? Maybe thereґre some WDM drivers for Win98SE you can use with digital audio from virtual drives.

Normally, you should be able to equalize any of the outputs of a modern soundcard. Even the onboard soundcards of relatively recent mainboards can do so (not in hardware, however).

If you just happen to have an old soundcard and you still want to process the output, you can try the TFM Audio Filter:

This will process directsound output in realtime.

                Code:
On the other hand analog output connected to your Soundblaster cannot be controlled in any way
The furst real CDROM player's analog output is connected to
                the soundblaster's analog CDROM input,
i can full customize the audio output

the second real CDROM player's analog output is now connected to
                The SoundBlasters aux input,
And this is weird I can't control the audio output
I can only set the volume with the original SoundBlasters software

                Code:
                Which SoundBlaster do you use?
                Creative labs SoundBlaster PCI 128

This SoundBlaster is getting old, but still to find in the stores

Im using the original drivers from creative labs
The main board have a SoundBlaster onboard (its switch off in the bios)

(The SoundBlaster onboard is 3 times nothing, I dont want to use this one)

                Code:
You can try the TFM Audio Filter:
This will process direct sound output in real-time.
Well I did test it but its a audio manipulation tool, it didnt do what I expected
Its not possible to manipulate the analog audio output from the virtual drives with this tool.

                  Creative labs SoundBlaster PCI 128
Then try the newest SoundBlaster 128 PCI drivers (5.12.01.5017). These drivers are WDM so you can enable digital audio for the virtual drives (disable analog audio in Daemon Tools first).
