  • problem with pcouffin driver

I have installed the trial of blindwrite and it keeps giving the message "patin-couffin not present or not up to date." I have uninstalled the driver-rebooted-reinstalled-rebooted but it still gives the same message. In device manager there is an ! beside pattin couffin engine.
    Thanks for any help.

      hi,
VSO is preparing a new version 6 of Blindwrite, the best would be to contact their support and provide the log information ( whatever you are a trial user VSO will work to fix the case )
you can contact me directly by MSN for example.

Any major changes? Or is it too early to talk about it?

It's worth to wait for it.

I found the reason it wouldn't work. Somehow pcouffin.sys got encrypted in the system32\drivers directory. I don't understand how, as the only folder on my hard drive that's encrypted is "My Documents". After decrypting pcouffin.sys it started correctly.
