Because i'm on a laptop i can't pull my IDE cables out. I have tried all sort of methods which i thook of this forum. But most of them include pulling your cables.

    I haven't yet patched x3 so i have SF 3.5
but i want to patch it so if there is a way to get around the newer version please help me.

Ps. sorry if posted 2 treads i accedentically pressed enter but the thread didn't show so couldn't deleted it

Do you really can't unplug your drives? I have a laptop too and i can unplug it very easy...
      Only unplugging will make it.

Yeah thats OK. I have a 'button' which i can press and then i can pull it out without loosing my warranty.

I seriously doubt you want to put the effort into using Bushound and making a cd-rw copy . It just depends how much time you want to put into it. What IDE chipset does your mobo use (for the wpcredit method)?

Get this tool, it's a trial version:
                        http://www.lavalys.com/products/download.php?pid=3&lang=en
Start it and go to Motherboard then choose Chipset and it should display your mobo's chipset.

If you want to find out what bushound is use google. It's the first result. However we probably can't explain it to you (as I mentioned before its hard to use and novice computer user's probably can't make their own starforce cd-rw).

                              Starforce Copying (CD) without Emulation:

But I was just thinking about doing this, it's still kind of inconvenient because you'll need a disc in your laptop (but won't need the original anymore).
