  • Daemon Tools took away my F (DVD Rom) drive.

    Ok, I checked the forum and had no luck solving this problem, I 've been to http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;320553 and tried what 's explained there but it didn't help.

    Here 's what happened: I have a DVD-Rom (F) and CD-RW (G) installed on my pc. When I first used daemon tools, I enabled 3 virtual drives, here 's where the problem started. I got 3 drives, H, I and F! This last one caused the problem. After using Daemon Tools for installing an image, I disabled all virtual drives but Daemon tools also disabled my F drive. I remade the F drive with Daemon Tools but that obviously didn't work (the F is seen as a stealth drive).

    How can I get my F drive back so it can read my DVD 's again?

    Right-click tray icon -> Virtual cd/dvd-rom -> Device 2 [F:] -> Set Device Parameters

    Here you can change drive letters.

      Well, I tried that before disabling the virtual drives, but somehow it didn't work at that time, so I thought I 'd just disable all the drives made by Daemon tools, including F to get my normal DVD rom F drive back.
      I later found out that changing the drives letters does work (the way you explained above).
      Now I tried reinstalling my DVD-rom, and if I check it 's properties, it 's working correct, but it doesn't show up in 'my computer', it has no drive letter :evil: .
      I really need to get it back.
      Please help
