  • Mount a folder or directory as CD or DVD

    Hi,
I am currently attempting to play a game where I have the disks on my Hard Drive, but not in a image format. I need the disks in the drive during installation, so I am trying to mount them. I do not have a burner, unfortunately, and I was attempting to follow the 'Mounting a Directory' walkthrough in the FAQ when I had a problem in the last step. I converted an empty folder to what looked like a drive (the icon changed) but when I clicked on it, It gave me a 'Device not Ready, Unable to Complete Task'.

Is there an alternate workaround or a fix to my problems? Thanks.

You can use e.g. UltraISO to create a iso image of the folder. Then mount it using DT.

      Mounting a Folder as a CDROM ?

I would like to mount a Folder as a CDROM
The Idea is to Chose a Network Shared Folder and mount it to a Diffrent computer on the same network

In this way i could do this:
make a shared folder on Computer A
Mount it to computer B so it will apper local CDROM(OR drive) other then Network Shared Folder

      Thanks

Re: Mount a folder or directory as CD or DVD

Nirtaz I moved your post here. AnalCobra's suggestion seems like the simplest solution.

Thanks for posting the idea, it's something people have always talked about.
