you can backup your registery first as follow

1.rt click mounted_devices and export and save the reg file

2.add the following line to reg file as follow
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices]

    so it look like
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices]
    "\\DosDevices\\C:"=hex............................ ..........
    .................................................. .....................

3.after playing just click the reg file

    4. do as i sayed before

Nah, keys deleting is not really the way forward, I'd rather use my original disc again than messing with my devices.

Turns out that the "trick" I posted works also on my machine, which is cool.
Though I'd rather have a new YASU
If the minimum wasn't acceptable it wouldn't be called the minimum.

where can I get the MDF/MDS file? I installed the game.. etc etc. I have the MDF file but cant seem to figure out where to get a mds file for it. I try to load w/ DT and the YASU (all updated versions.. even let the game update.. couldnt get it to work w/ 1.0 anyways). Says.

"Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000).

Please have a look at http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=copy&c=1000 for further, more detailed information."

Any ideas. I've done all other suggestions on in this post and to no avail.

Remake your image from your original disc and you'll have the MDS and MDF files.

            I dont get it

I tried like that with an selfmade backup-image from my DVD:

D:\ is my daemon's virtual drive,
L:\ is my Real DVD drive,
            and
F:\ is where my Backup Image is...

            My Regentry is the following:
            \DosDevices\D.L:
            or should it be:
            \DosDevices\D.F:

My Backup mdf/s is in a seperate folder, i hope thats ok...
            I also applied the Patch.

Still says that i have to put the original DVD in, yes, i use YASU and all that fancy gatchet stuff, i HAVE read how to mount the Backup-Image, its just about the Regstuff.

            Thanks in advance!

What is the exact error message? I don't have a clue what error 7000 is.

Could they still "upgrade" their security/copyprotection? Because R6V Patch 1.02 is on its way

That error means you've got a bad image. What program and settings did you use to create the image?
