  • Ripping Bioshock...

Has anyone been able to rip Bioshock to mount in a virtual drive to play? The SecuROM stuff keeps detecting a copy and not the original. I have Daemon Tools PRO.

    Any ideas?

Your image is bad, try different DPM speeds when selecting new SecuROM.

I have Alcohol 120%, but why can't I rip with Daemon Tools PRO? Also, in Alcohol 120%, when I select my DVD drive, it doesn't let me select SecuROM profile. Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, I just tried the Create Image Wizard in Alcohol, and it didn't work.

I created an image with DT pro that works fine.
          SecuROM new profile.
          Default Speeds.
          Image compression on.
Game loads and plays fine from vSCSI drive.

Regarding Alcohol, there are no datatypes for DVD's. Just select DPM, with high precision and maximum speed.

Really? Do you have any other IDE drives in your system? If yes you need to mount it with the vIDE or at least you have to use YASU, don't you?

I have an IDE DVD burner in my system.
vSCSI is fine. No YASU required.

I'm using a Plextor PX-716SA.. shouldn't be any issues there right? Do I need to install the program from the image?

I didn't. I installed from my original DVD and created the image later.
