  • yasu.exe to d-tools directory

where is the daemon tools directory where i have to copy the yasu.exe file to? this is probably very simple but i'm very stoopid! thanks

This is something I want to know - it's bugging me like mad.

I thought it would be in the directory that you choose when installing Daemon Tools - but I have put Yasu in that directory (the one that appears in the start menu) but absoultly nothing happens other then recieving the following error:

    Error:

Unable to locate the file "daemon.dll" and/or "dtpro.dll".
Please copy "Yasu.exe to your DAEMON-Tools directory, then run the application again.

I am fairly good with computers - but when it comes to things like this, I am absoultly usless! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

right click the daemon tools icon on the desktop and select properties.. it should show the location...

typically its c:\program files\daemon tools or c:\program files\daemon tools pro or c:\program files(x86)\daemon tools pro
as its default location... (assuming c:\ is the drive your windows is running from of course)...

        Yasu and DT4.30.4

There is no DAEMON.DLL or DTPRO.DLL on the Daemon Tools directory, so YASU always gives that error! How can we fix this?

mentioned before in a few threads

copy any dll in that folder, rename the copy to daemon.dll, does the job

Create a shortcut for YASU and run it.

Just use the lastest YASU version 1.6.9040 to get rid of this error message.

                    Having the same issue.

I have renamed one of the dlls to daemon.dll and it gives me a runtime C error..

Whats up.. using 4.30.1 with 1.7 YASA

                    thanks

                      There is no YASU 1.7.

Just use latest DT (4.30.4) and YASU (1.6.9040) and there'll be no need to rename anything

                          1st-sorry for my english

                          i made this
make a copy of DTLite.exe then rename a copy to DTPro.exe
and put it back in the folder - yasu will work

because the icons (file association) disappear

I just downloaded and installed the latest DT and YASU. But it tells me to find daemon.exe or dtpro.exe.

Renaming them does not work either.

and you put yasu in the SAME folder as daemon tools?
