        Invalid Device.

Operating System: Win 2003 Server Enterprise build.
        Burning Software: CDRWIn, Roxio 6
        Anti-virus Software: NOD
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.4 and 3.3

Invalid device message comes up [at startup] twice then clicking Daemon desktop icon runs fine. Am aware that you are aware of this problem but it was not a problem on Windows XP_SP1 Corporate version.

Ok I will test it out on XP_SP1.
Seems some worm is affecting all versions of Norton Anti-virus live update and it affects "Remote Procedure call" in services and affects svchost and this may have some bearing on it affecting Daemon.

Ok I tested XP_SP1 and no problems but the PC is never used on the internet. My News site post shown below might just relate to present Daemon error message.

              The Posted message:
I suspect that some bug is damaging Noton Pro 2003 and 2004 and Client 8.1
              System lacks memory.
Icons on desktop cannot be moved.
              Copy and paste fails.
Remote Procedure Call reboots in infinite loop.
SVCHOST may also need to close.
This was experienced in XP_SP1 and Windows 2003 Server Enterprtise build.
Both had been previously "blaster worm patched".
The damage usually only occurs after running Norton antivirus Live Update.
This has not happened before on Live update until around seven days ago.
I now use NOD Antivirus with no such problems.
