Mounting Actual CDs

First let me say I know nothing about this type of thing so please don't flame me.

Is it possible to "mount" actual CDs? I ask because I'm told that with an addon Daemon Tool can bypass Securom which uses the net for authentication (That IS how it works right?). I bought a game (Rhymes with Gore) legitimately only to find out in the small print that it requires the net to authenticate.

there is no (legal) way to bypass Spore's online authentication. DT won't help you there..

you can however create an image of your disc and mount it to not need it in your drive
