Red Apple Icon

When I have a ISO loaded with daemon - Any ISO - , a red apple icon appears on the icon for the CD drive and I cannot access any files on the CD or run the cd ISO.

I have googled it and only a few hits show people with the same problem but no soloutions.

I'm running vista on a toshiba laptop.

Any Ideas?
