  • DT does not assign a drive letter to virtual drive

Operating System: Windows XP (No SP1)
    Burning Software: Nero
    Anti-virus Software: Norton Anti-Virus 2002
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.44

    Heyo

I just installed DT on my brand spanking new XP installation, but apparently to no avail. The virtual drive doesn't seem to get a drive letter attached to it, and when I try to set one in the Device Parameters, it completely ignores it.

    What to do?

    Installing SP1 did the trick

      Same problem

Operating System: Win XP Pro SP1
      Burning Software: none-- uninstalled all
Anti-virus Software: BitDefender Free Edition v7.1
      DAEMON Tools Version: 3.44

I'm having the same problem-- I can mount images, but the virtual drive comes up without a drive letter. I'm already on SP1, but reinstalled it just to be sure, but that had no effect.

What's strange is that Daemon used to work-- I'm not sure what I did that broke it. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but no luck so far.

What does it mean when the drive letter refuses to be set? How do I get around this?

First make sure virtual drive is working properly.
