Is this the only error you have in system event log?

no, no other logs. I've tried others and they either bluescreen or do something nasty on reboot. alcohol120% would cause a bluescreen, the virtual cd also did that. Somehow I don't think my winxp installation likes virtual cdrom drivers. Funny tho my win.net rc1 installation had no problems with it. oh well

i do have the same problem, just upgraded from .23 to.26 and now either WinXP SP1 does not want to boot either is keeps restarting. Had to disable virtual drive ... and then when rebooting i got the same message about scsi driver not installed.
